Electronics Engineering Technician

Job Title: Electronics Engineering Technician Job Description The role focuses on diagnosing and resolving electronic failures in precision test and measurement equipment. The required candidate will have a strong foundation in electronics theory and practical troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work down to the component level. Responsibilities

- Perform root-cause analysis of electronic failures on complex products.
- Interpret and analyze schematics, block diagrams, and wiring diagrams to isolate faults.
- Troubleshoot down to component level using structured logic and systematic approaches.
- Utilize historical failure data, internal diagnostic tools, and test results to guide repair decisions.
- Apply electrical engineering principles to identify likely failure points.
- Operate electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, DMMs, and power supplies to validate repairs.
- Execute functional and performance tests post-troubleshooting to confirm compliance with specifications.
- Support production floor and engineering teams with technical evaluations and failure analysis.

Essential Skills

- Strong understanding of analog and digital circuits, including passive and active components.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and understand circuit functionality.
- Familiarity with common failure modes in electronic assemblies.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic instruments such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers.
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics or Associates/Military Electronics/Avionics training baseline.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Success with entry-level bachelor backgrounds who are strong hands on troubleshooting and diagnostics experience and are open to starting their career at Engineering technician level.
- Open to field service techs with strong electronics troubleshooting skills.
- Device/equipment technicians with expertise in electronics.
- Technical communication skills to explain findings clearly.
- Mechanical, electronics testing, debugging, calibration, and circuit board knowledge.

Work Environment The position is based in a manufacturing and clean lab environment. The job includes an electronics evaluation test focusing on component identification, schematic comprehension, and basic circuit troubleshooting. #LI-MH3

This is a Contract position based out of Beaverton, OR.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $33.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
