Southern Health Partners is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team at the Morgan County Jail in Alabama.
This full-time position offers a 12-hour night shift schedule with every other weekend , giving you the opportunity to provide meaningful patient care in a structured, safe, and secure environment.
No hospital units. No mandatory floating. One facility. One team.
🩺 What You'll Do
- Provide direct nursing care to patients within the correctional facility
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered
- Complete nursing assessments and monitor patients for changes in condition
- Respond to urgent and emergent healthcare needs
- Communicate patient concerns and changes in condition to medical providers
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Assist with chronic and acute care needs
- Promote continuity of care throughout the facility
- Follow established clinical policies, procedures, and standards
- Provide professional and compassionate care in a safe and secure environment
Qualifications
📋 Qualifications
- Current and unrestricted LPN license in the state of Alabama
- Current CPR certification
- Correctional healthcare experience is a plus, but not required
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with the healthcare team
- Ability to remain calm and professional in urgent situations
- Commitment to providing quality, compassionate patient care
