Accounts Payable / Payroll Specialist
PrideStaff Financial is working with a local manufacturing company who is seeking an Accounts Payable & Payroll Specialist. The Accounts Payable & Payroll Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accurate, timely, and compliant execution of all payroll and accounts payable functions. The ideal Accounts Payable & Payroll Specialist brings exceptional analytical capabilities and accurate attention to detail, alongside the professionalism required to manage sensitive financial information with total confidentiality. The Accounts Payable & Payroll Specialist position reports directly to the Accounting Manager.
Accounts Payable & Payroll Specialist Duties & Responsibilities:
Process Multi-State Weekly/Bi-Weekly Payroll For Hourly, Salaried, & Contracted Staff
Validate Timekeeping Data, Including Hours Worked, Overtime, PTO, & Wage Adjustments
Maintain Employee Records Ensuring Full Compliance With Federal, State, & Local Regulations
Manage Payroll lifecycle Changes, Covering New Hires, Terminations, Compensation Adjustments, & Benefits
Reconcile Payroll Reports, For Month/Quarter/Year-End Closing, W-2 Prep, & Internal Audits
Resolve Employee Payroll Inquiries With Timely & Professional Support
Code & Process Vendor Invoices in Compliance With Company Policies
3-Way Invoice Matching. Purchase Orders, Receipts, & Invoices
Manage Weekly Payment Runs Via Check, ACH, & Wire Transfers
Maintain Vendor Records & Secure Required W-9 Documentation
Reconcile Accounts Payables to the General Ledger
Assist With Closing Activities, Including AP Accruals & Reporting
Assist With Additional Business Needs as Requested
Accounts Payable & Payroll Specialist Requirements & Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
3+ Years of Multi-State Payroll Experience Coupled With Solid Wage & Hour Laws, & Compliance Requirements
3+ Years of Accounts Payable Experience
Proficient With Payroll Systems Such as ADP, Paychex, Paylocity, UKG, & Accounting Software Such as JobBOSS
Superb Excel Skills, Including Formulas, VLOOKUP, & Pivot Tables
Exceptional Accuracy, Organizational Skills, & Attention to Details
Strong Communication Skills & The Ability to Collaborate Effectively Across Departments
Demonstrated Ability to Handle Confidential Information With Discretion
Maintain a High Level of Integrity & a Proactive, Resourceful Approach Committed to Continuous Improvement
Apply Strong Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills to Manage Multiple Priorities & Meet Tight Deadlines in a Fast-Paced Environment
Work With a Team-Oriented Mindset Focused on Delivering a Strong Customer Service Experience
Previous Experience Supporting Payroll & AP in a Multi-Entity or High Volume Environment
Familiarity With 1099 Processing & Year-End AP Reporting
Exposure to General Ledger Processes or Basic Accounting Principles

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $24.00 - $30.00
