Forklift Operator II – 1st Shift
Pay: $17.50/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator II to join a busy warehouse and distribution team. This position is responsible for safely and efficiently operating material handling equipment to move, store, stage, load, and unload products throughout the warehouse.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment according to company procedures.
- Complete required pre-operation inspections before operating equipment.
- Stack and store merchandise safely in designated rack locations.
- Unload inbound shipments and transport products to assigned storage locations.
- Pull, stage, and prepare products for outbound shipment.
- Verify product type and quantities to ensure orders are loaded accurately.
- Perform order picking accurately and efficiently.
- Move products from staging and storage areas into trailers.
- Use RF scanning equipment to accurately track inventory and product movement.
- Assist with physical inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Maintain proper product rotation.
Qualifications
- Previous forklift and warehouse distribution experience required.
- 2+ years of forklift/warehouse experience preferred.
- Must be able to successfully qualify for and complete NFI forklift certification .
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic math skills.
- Basic computer skills; Excel experience preferred.
- Experience using RF scanners preferred.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
