Material Handler – 1st Shift
Pay: $19.00/hour
Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday, 6:00 AM–2:00 PM
Job Summary
We are hiring a Material Handler to join our warehouse team. This position is responsible for moving, loading, unloading, picking, packing, and organizing materials and finished products throughout the facility.
Responsibilities
- Move materials, supplies, and finished products throughout the facility using a hand truck or other equipment as assigned.
- Load and unload freight safely and efficiently.
- Load finished products onto pallets and hand trucks.
- Stack pallets and skids in designated storage and staging areas.
- Pick, pack, sort, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
- Apply shipping labels according to company and customer requirements.
- Wrap pallets, consolidate freight, and prepare shipments for loading.
- Verify shipment accuracy and inspect freight for damage or other issues.
- Use RF scanners to support accurate inventory tracking.
- Assist with physical inventory and cycle counts as needed.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous warehouse or material handling experience is helpful but not required.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, up to 10–12 hours when required.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 10–50 lbs.
- Comfortable with frequent bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, stretching, and reaching.
- Ability to work in varying noise, lighting, and temperature conditions.
- Must be able to work weekends and extended hours as required by business needs.
Physical Requirements
This is an active warehouse position requiring frequent movement throughout the shift. Candidates must be comfortable with:
- Standing and walking for extended periods
- Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Pushing and pulling materials
- Bending, stooping, squatting, and crouching
- Reaching at and above shoulder level
- Working in varying warehouse conditions
