Future Plans Assistant | Defence Clothing System

Cremorne, Vic | Full-Time

Join Ventia's Defence Clothing System (DCS) team and play a key role in supporting projects that help deliver essential clothing and logistics services to the Australian Defence Force. Working within the Future Plans team, you'll coordinate projects, stakeholder engagement and planning activities that support operational readiness and future capability initiatives.

About the Role

As Future plans assistant, you will work closely with Defence stakeholders, internal operational teams and subcontractor partners to support the planning, coordination and delivery of future projects and initiatives. This is a diverse role offering exposure to project management, stakeholder engagement, communication planning, change management and operational support activities.

This opportunity is ideal for a project professional with coordination experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where organisation, communication and relationship management are critical to success.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain accurate project reports, governance documents and records in line with contractual requirements.
- Monitor and report on project performance indicators and deliverables.
- Support project planning, scheduling, risk and change management in accordance with Ventia standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance project outcomes and service delivery.

About You

You will bring:

- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and maintain attention to detail.
- A disciplined and structured approach to planning, administration and documentation.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive stakeholder relationships.
- A willingness to learn and adapt within a fast-paced project environment.
- Experience in project coordination, logistics, supply chain, Defence or project delivery environments will be highly regarded but is not essential.

Eligibility Requirements

Due to the nature of this role, applicants must:

- Be an Australian Citizen.
- Be eligible to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
- Successfully complete a National Police Check.
- Obtain and maintain any contractually required clearances and certifications.
