Night Shift Chef FIFO

Ventia is looking for passionate, self-sufficient Chef to join our FIFO mobile camp operations on a night shift roster.  If you love crafting hearty, home style meals and take pride in being the one who fuels hard working teams, this is the role for you.
You’ll run your own kitchen and be the culinary heartbeat of the camp, serving nutritious, satisfying meals for 20-75 field personnel. Working independently, you’ll report directly to the Camp Manager and play a vital role in creating a welcoming, well-fed environment for our remote teams.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and serve high quality, nutritious meals.
- Independently manage all kitchen operations, prep, cooking, cleaning, stock rotation, and assisting with ordering
- Clean, sanitise and maintain cooking utensils, equipment, and food preparation areas.
- Deliver friendly, professional customer service to camp residents
- Support broader camp operations, including laundry, cleaning, and transporting meals when required
- Support and participate in the implementation and management of the Food Safety Program, including actively identifying hazards, employing appropriate controls, and recording incidents in line with Company standards.

About You:

- Certificate in Commercial Cookery and/or relevant food safety qualifications
- Manual Driver’s Licence (essential)
- Ability to pass a pre employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain.
- Willing to complete a National Police Clearance
- Flexibility to work nights and spend extended periods away from home

- $37.4 per hour (or) $448.8 per day plus casual loading

Location & Logistics:

- Point of hire: Toowoomba
- Departure point: Wilsonton Airport, Toowoomba
- You’ll be responsible for getting yourself to Toowoomba; Ventia will arrange flights to site and provide overnight accommodation if needed.
