Project Manager - Substations

Find your further with Ventia as a Project Manager – Electrical Infrastructure & Substations, b ased in Wodonga VIC, you will lead major energy Infrastructure projects in our growing Energy & Renewables team, delivering critical electrical infrastructure projects across Australia.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of the end-to-end delivery of complex substations, transmission , BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems), renewable energy and high voltage infrastructure projects, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget and to the highest quality standards.

About the Role
You will be responsible for the safe, commercial and successful delivery of electrical infrastructure projects from contract through to completion, proving leadership across planning, execution, stakeholder management, risk management and project controls. Key responsibilities include –

- M anage the end-to-end delivery of projects
- Lead multidisciplinary teams including engineers, supervisors, subcontractors and suppliers
- Manage project programmes, forecasts, budgets, variations, claims and commercial risks
- Drive a strong Zero Harm culture through visible safety leadership and proactive risk management
- Maintain strong client relationships and act as the primary point of contact throughout project delivery
- Oversee construction quality, commissioning activities and project assurance processes
- Mentor and develop team members while promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement

About You
You are a proven Project Manager with experience delivering complex electrical or infrastructure projects and have a strong understanding of project delivery within the energy sector.
It is essential that you are able to demonstrate –

- E xperience delivering substations, transmission, renewable energy, BESS or related infrastructure projects
- Strong commercial and contract management capability, including budgeting, forecasting and cost control
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and effectively manage subcontractors, suppliers and consultants
- Strong stakeholder engagement and management
- Sound knowledge of WHS, environmental and quality requirements within construction or energy environments

Qualifications

- D egree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related discipline
- Current unrestricted driver's licence
- Additional Project Management, Contract Management or Leadership qualifications will be highly regarde d
