Project Controls Manager
The project:
Mace is providing strategic project management consultancy for major new-build stadiums, multiple stadium redevelopments, and wider precinct transformations in Riyadh.
The scope includes the delivery of new stadiums, increasing existing stadia capacity, delivering major mixed-use amenities, and introducing robust knowledge transfer to ensure operational excellence and long-term sustainability beyond construction.
Delivers the implementation and delivery of a range of PMO and Project Controls services to designated projects within the PMO and Planning Centre of Excellence.
You’ll be responsible for:

- You will ensure robust quality systems are in place and suitably managed in line with service excellence.
- You will manage delivery from project inception/brief, through design development and planning, contractor procurement and construction phase in accordance with the overall delivery program and agreed project milestones.
- You will manage tasks and associated deliverables in support of the Associate Director and other senior leaders, alongside the wider project and client teams, to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of the project.

- You will manage design and wider consultant teams in a collaborative manner to ensure effective completion of responsibilities.
- You will lead and manage the project team and relevant stakeholders to achieve strategic project key performance indicators (KPIs).

Your responsibilities:
- Champion safety, wellbeing, inclusivity and responsible delivery across every project.
- Deliver projects through clear planning, quality systems and strong stakeholder collaboration.
- Supervise change and commercial performance with integrity.
- Lead teams to achieve KPIs, share best practice and unlock potential across Mace.
- Deliver PMO and Project Controls across commissions, aligning frameworks with Mace Control Centre and client requirements.
- Build trusted client relationships, supporting governance, reporting and performance meetings.
- Advise teams on cost, schedule, change, risk, baselines and contingency management.
- Support integrated controls, junior colleagues, risk mitigation and net zero carbon outcomes.
You’ll need to have:
- Experience of working on complex construction projects and major Consultancy commissions.
- Experience of delivering effective PMO and Project Controls Services/ assurance frameworks/strategies.
- Working knowledge of PMO and Project Controls tools, techniques and software (e.g. MS office and Power BI, Aconex, Primavera P6 and RiskHive).
- Effective communication and engagement skills.
- Effective networking skills.
- Creating and delivering persuasive and engaging presentations to Client/s.
- Understanding of construction/delivery lifecycle.
- Working knowledge of PMO and Project Controls service delivery in one or more sectors (e.g. rail, highways, nuclear, public sector, hospitals).
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to form effective working relationships.
- Ability to collaborate with and influence others.
- Proven ability to articulate complex information and ideas for a non-technical audience.
- Strong Attention to detail.
- Mace Behaviours (Curious, Collaborators, Contributors, Champions) - good compliance and maturing behaviours as required.
- Exhibits some commercial acumen at times.
- Good communication and engagement skills.
- Effective networking skills.
- Ability to support the establishment of high performing teams.

- Extensive experience supporting the delivery of a range of PMO and Project Controls services within the construction sector and/or management consultancy.
- APM Planning and Project Controls (PPC) Foundation and Practitioner.
