The Undersea Systems Division (USD) of Leidos develops, integrates, and deploys advanced technology solutions that address existing and emerging maritime missions for a range of customers across the Department of War (DoW). Our Lynnwood, WA facility is expanding its operations based on significant business growth and is seeking new talent to join our world-class production team.
The Role
We are seeking a Project Assistant specializing in Planning and Procurement supporting several contracts in our Lynnwood, WA office. The successful candidate will work directly with Program Managers and their teams to conduct production planning including development and management of Bills of Materials, create manufacturing orders, tracking material in Deltek Costpoint, complete the submission of material quotes, submit purchase requests and track those requests through completion.
The successful candidate
Has experience/ in procurement and is familiar with price reasonableness, competitive bids in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and other applicable regulations, cost-accounting standards and, in general, timely procurement action in response to work requirements. Is also familiar with production planning including BOM management and manufacturing order creation particularly using Deltek Costpoint. Has excellent written and oral communications skills and works well with teammates, suppliers, and customers. Has knowledge and experience in the use of Microsoft Officer Products and working with large PDF and Excel files. Is well organized and able to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks. Can work onsite in Lynnwood, WA or remote. Can obtain a Secret Security Clearance.

Primary Responsibilities
- Assist in production planning for multiple development and production programs. Including: Ensuring that approved material is available for planned production.
- Generate and maintain Bills of Material.
- Responsible for managing timely and accurate procurement of all fabricated and COTS parts.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality and procurement to develop quote packages.
- Analyze supplier responses and select, manage and report on performance of suppliers.
- Establish production schedule based on material and resource availability.
- Provide daily status of WIP, material availability and identify issues that impact production.
- Coordinating directly with engineering, configuration management, production management and procurement to ensure accurate, timely scheduling of material and work order flow to meet customer delivery requirements.
- Using the Manufacturing Requirements Planning tool to drive purchasing and orchestrate kitting and Work Orders to the production floor.
- Establishing work procedures consistent with the project’s manufacturing methodology.
- Resolving impediments to achieving aggressive delivery constraints.
- Assist in procurement of material supporting multiple programs. This includes:
- Commits orders via Costpoint, and Purchasing Card (Pcard).
- Creates Purchase Requisitions for Subcontract Labor and Material Purchase Orders (POs).
- Supports Program Managers and their teammates generating Purchase Request Forms and routes for respective approval.
- Initiates Procurement Purchase Requests (PPRs) to request Warranted Buyer quotes and POs.
- Reconciles and submits accurate and timely biweekly Transaction Detail Reports via US Bank Access One.
- Tracks status of orders from start to finish, maintaining current input to Program Manager Material Spreadsheets.
- Tracks and completes Goods Receipts; uploads packing slips in Webtop.
- Ensures timely placement of orders to support required delivery dates; alerts requesters of known issues and reconciles issues with successful solutions.
- Works with other Procurement Project Assistants, backing up workload as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent and 5+ years or prior relevant experience.
- Microsoft Office knowledge and skill; strong experience working with large PDF files and Excel.
- Strong organization and communication skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Experience working with Government Contract Procurement
- Must be able to obtain a Secret DoD clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Costpoint and Material Resource Planning (MRP)
- Familiar with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).

## Pay Range:
Pay Range $52,000.00 - $94,000.00
