The Department of Physics is seeking a qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach the PHYS 101 Astronomy course during the Spring 2027 semester. This general education course provides a basic introduction to the field of astronomy.
- Instruction: Teach course material during in-person classes and provide a course syllabus and appropriate assignments to support learning and communicate with students professionally.
- Grading: Promptly grade all assignments and complete required departmental assessments. It is preferred this is performed using Canvas, ACU's learning management system.
- Compliance: Adhere to departmental policies, institutional grading deadlines, and academic integrity standards.
Qualifications:
Required:
- MS, MA, or PhD in Astronomy, Astrophysics, Physics or a closely related STEM field.
Preferred :
- 3 or more years of prior teaching experience.
