About this role

Tesla’s Supply Chain team is seeking a Program Manager to drive supplier industrialization and launch readiness across Interiors and Seating programs. This role sits at the intersection of Supply Chain Management, Supplier Industrialization Engineering, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and our supplier network. You will maintain a clear view of supplier readiness across multiple vehicle programs, identify emerging risks early, establish ownership, and drive issues to closure before they affect
pilot builds, SOP, or production ramp. Success in this role requires more than tracking actions. We are looking for someone with strong judgment who can quickly determine where the real risk lies, understand when to dig deeply into quality, tooling, capacity, or manufacturing execution, and when to step back and communicate a clear program-level view of priorities. The strongest candidates
combine analytical rigor, adaptive problem solving, mature cross-functional leadership, and relentless follow-through.

- Own program-level visibility of supplier industrialization and readiness across Interiors and Seating programs. Continuously improve the processes used to manage supplier industrialization, program readiness, and cross-functional execution
- Maintain a clear picture of P0, P1, and P2 supplier risks, including impact, ownership, containment, recovery plan, timing, and required escalation. Identify supplier risks early and drive corrective actions before they affect pilot builds, SOP, or production ramp
- Develop sufficient technical understanding of quality, tooling, capacity, process
capability, validation, and manufacturing constraints to identify the true risk and
engage the appropriate experts
- Track supplier and part readiness through critical industrialization milestones, including tooling, validation, qualification, capacity readiness, PPAP and production launch gates. Maintain visibility to parts requiring rework, temporary processes, bridge strategies, deviations, containment, engineering changes, or other nonstandard conditions
- Develop mitigation and recovery plans when supplier execution, timing, resources, or ownership are insufficient, escalating quickly when necessary. Build strong working relationships with SIEs, SCMs, Engineering, Quality, team eads, suppliers, and other cross-functional partners
- Translate complex supplier and manufacturing issues into concise executive-level reporting that clearly communicates risk, impact, decisions required, and next steps
- Develop dashboards, analytical tools, and scalable operating mechanisms that improve visibility and reduce manual program management. Analyze program and supplier data to identify trends, systemic risks, and gaps before they become launch issues

- Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
- Significant experience in supplier industrialization, manufacturing, supply chain, new product introduction, operations, or technical program management
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, cross-functional programs with multiple suppliers, stakeholders, and competing priorities
- Strong judgment and the ability to rapidly distinguish material program risks from lower-priority noise. Ability to understand manufacturing and supplier issues deeply enough to ask the right questions, identify gaps, and determine when specialist involvement is required
- Strong understanding of program ownership and the ability to navigate boundaries between Supply Chain, Supplier Industrialization, Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing. Ability to build credibility and productive working relationships with engineers, supply chain teams, leadership, and suppliers
- Strong analytical skills with experience using Excel and business intelligence or visualization platforms such as Power BI or Tableau. Ability to synthesize complex information into concise, decision-oriented communication for senior leadership
- Comfort operating under pressure, managing ambiguity, and adapting quickly as
program priorities change. Demonstrated adaptive problem solving, intellectual curiosity, and willingness to independently investigate unfamiliar technical or operational problems
