Technical Project Engineer, Service Tooling

Service Tooling runs many hardware programs at once — vehicle launches, Semi, Optimus, automation — with a small engineering group. The Technical Project Engineer keeps those programs real: suppliers, dates, releases, and the status leadership uses. You need enough technical judgment to see when a date is not true.

- Coordinate across programs: what is in flight, what is blocked, and what has to land for a launch
- Drive vendor and PO work — quotes, samples, delivery — without waiting to be chased
- Keep a live picture of risk and progress the team will actually use. Do not rebuild status the night before a recap
- Work with mechanical, electrical, and field engineers so the plan matches the hardware, not a slide
- Put finished tools through the field-release path (documentation, catalog, procurement) when they are ready
- Be someone the team and partner orgs can check with on program status

- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience on technical hardware programs
- 3+ years coordinating engineering projects that include design, suppliers, and a field or factory customer
- You have closed vendor work from PO through delivery, not only tracked it on a list
- Ability to provide clear status updates in writing, such as telllng a director what is late and why in a short note
- Enough CAD and drawing literacy to follow the design even if you are not the designer
- First-principles on schedules. You will push back when a plan assumes something that is not true

Expected Compensation $112,000 - $217,200/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
