THE ROLE:

We are seeking a motivated Quality Engineer to join our team and support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our QMS in alignment with industry standards and customer requirements. This role is critical to ensuring compliance, driving operational excellence, and supporting product quality in a fast-paced fabless semiconductor environment.

THE PERSON:

The Quality Management Systems Engineer joining our team will play a key role to continuously improving AMD's next-generation, AI-enabled Quality Management System (QMS) platform and capabilities. This position offers the opportunity to modernize and transform the quality and business workflows using scalable processes through innovative software solutions, cloud technologies, intelligent automation, and measurable process controls, and controls and artificial intelligence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Maintain and Improve QMS: Support the implementation and maintenance of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards. Ensure compliance with internal quality policies and external regulatory requirements.

- Process Documentation & Audits: Develop, review, and update quality procedures, work instructions, and process documentation.
- Assist in planning and conducting internal audits; support external audits and customer assessments.

- Change Management and customer notification: Support change management process and customer communications.

- Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA): Investigate non-conformances, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor effectiveness of corrective actions and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

- Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect and analyze quality metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Prepare reports for management reviews and quality performance dashboards.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, operations, and supply chain teams to ensure quality requirements are met.
- Support supplier quality management activities as needed.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

- 1-2 years of experience in Quality Management Systems within semiconductor or electronics manufacturing.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.
- Familiarity with quality tools (FMEA, 8D, 5-Why Root Cause Analysis).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
- Experience with fabless semiconductor processes and supplier quality management.
- Proficiency in QMS software and data analysis tools.
- Proficient with Visio Flowcharting tools.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Software, Mechanical, Industrial) or related field.
