PrideStaff is looking for entry level Shop Helpers for a well-known manufacturing company in Escalon, CA.
The Helper is responsible for performing various duties related to manufacturing processes and other shop functions at a basic level in order to support the organization’s production requirements. Individuals in this position are being trained in a specific area in anticipation of advancement into a more specialized job within the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities Include the Following: Proficient in the use of hand and power tools Can use minor machines including overhead crane, forklift, hydraulic press, and angle grinder Able to break parts out of steel sheets Ability to sort and stack parts Able to clean and grind assigned parts Able to caulk parts as assigned Able to chase threads on parts as assigned Ability to countersink parts with assistance Responsible for painting parts when assigned Assist Press Break Operators when needed
Qualifications Include: Recent work experience within the past 12 months required Ability to use basic hand and power tools preferred Must be able to stand for long periods of time, and consistently lift 50+ pounds Must be at least 18 years old and able to show proof of eligibility to work in the U.S. Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screening
Schedule: Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm
Pay varies DOE: $16.90/hr to $17.00/hr
