About Our Family

We’re a busy, warm household of four in Brooklyn with two working parents and two boys, ages 6 and 2. We both work from home, so home life is active throughout the day, but we’ve put systems in place to keep things organized. We’re looking for someone who can step into that rhythm, take ownership of the details, and help make the day-to-day feel a little lighter.

Our boys are easygoing, curious, and welcoming. Our older son is active and enjoys his after-school activities, while our younger son is in full-time daycare. With two working parents and no nearby family support, we’re looking for help with the things that tend to pile up: laundry, groceries, meal prep, daily resets, errands, assisting with getting our older son to and from afternoon activities and weekly evening childcare support. One of the biggest ways this support would make a difference is helping us create more time for family life and regular date nights.

We’re vegetarian and enjoy simple, healthy meals and would welcome someone contributing on this front a few times a week. More than anything, we’re looking for someone who can become a trusted part of our routine, notice what needs attention, and help keep the household running smoothly.

Who You Are / What We're Looking For

You bring experience supporting a busy household and are comfortable wearing a few different hats. You might spend part of the day tackling laundry and household organization, preparing meals, running an errand, or coordinating something for the kids. You notice what needs to be done, anticipate what needs to be done, use good judgment about what to prioritize, and follow things through without needing to be directed at every step.

You’re warm, dependable, and comfortable working independently. Because we both work from home, you have a good sense of when to engage and when to give space, and you communicate clearly without needing constant interaction. You’re also flexible and comfortable with a schedule that may shift from time to time, including occasional weekend or evening support with advance notice.

Most importantly, you take pride in being someone a family can count on. You’re happy to pitch in wherever needed, whether that means resetting the kitchen, folding laundry, helping with the kids, or taking care of an unexpected task. You bring a practical, can-do approach and genuinely enjoy making a household feel more organized and manageable.
