• Position in line with Council Band 4 salary, $39.90 per hour plus 12% superannuation
• Support the delivery of compliant, high-quality Early Years services for children and families

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Business Support Officer to provide administrative and operational support across Council's Early Years Services. This role has a strong focus on enrolments, fee administration, record management and regulatory compliance, ensuring services operate effectively and meet legislative, funding and licensing requirements.

Working closely with Early Years staff, families and key stakeholders, you will contribute to the delivery of safe, responsive and high-quality services that support the wellbeing and development of children in the Moonee Valley community.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support for Early Years programs, including enrolments, bookings, waiting lists and customer enquiries.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with legislative, licensing, regulatory and Council requirements.
• Support compliance activities, audits, reporting requirements and service accreditation processes.
• Assist with fee administration, direct debits, accounts processing, payment plans and debt recovery activities.
• Coordinate correspondence, reports, meetings and departmental communications.
• Maintain administrative systems, procedures and work instructions to support consistent and compliant service delivery.
• Support staff onboarding, training records and mandatory compliance requirements.
• Deliver professional and responsive customer service to families, community members and internal stakeholders.

Skills & Experience

• Experience providing administrative support in a busy and customer-focused environment.
• Strong understanding of compliance, record management and administrative processes.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate, confidential and compliant records.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated customer service and stakeholder engagement experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and business systems.
• Well-developed problem-solving skills, initiative and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Experience within Early Years, Children's Services, Education, Community Services or Local Government will be highly regarded.
