About this role

Summary/Purpose of the Position:

The Manufacturing Supervisor organizes, coordinates, and supervises employees and activities within the fabrication department to ensure an effective and efficient fabrication operation that meets safety, quality, and production standards.

Essential Duties, Functions and/or Responsibilities:

- Strive towards continuous improvement in accordance with divisional and corporate strategic direction and initiatives.

- Foster and Lead Quality First environment.

- Develop, communicate, and implement ERP best practice doctrine.

- Act as a liaison supporting various corporate departments.

- Train and develop staff with Epicor/SXE throughout the site.

- Work closely with other sites (peers) and inter-department heads (Customer Service, Warehouse and Sales/Engineering) to meet customer expectations.

- Support and assist fabrication management personnel.

- Assist with relationship building with key suppliers and customers.

- Complete required training hours per fiscal year.

- Indirectly and directly responsible for product quality.

- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

- College degree preferred or equivalent supervisory experience in the industrial distribution or manufacturing industry.

- 2+ years supervisory/operations management experience required.

- Fundamental knowledge of ISO/Quality System and Continuous Improvement methodologies.

- Ability to supervise diverse work groups in a team environment using effective listening, coaching, training, investigative and problem-solving skills.

- Commitment to safety

- Innovative and creative ability to develop new concepts, ideas, and business opportunities for growth.

- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.

- Proficient in MS Office products: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

- Familiarity with customer manufacturing industry and its unique needs for creating and maintaining a competitive advantage.

- Proven track record of continuous improvement success with ERP systems.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions in accordance with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.

- Ability to maintain regular and timely attendance in accordance with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local regulations.

- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. when necessary.
