Job Overview As a Commercial Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and order within client facilities. You will perform daily cleaning duties according to established schedules, ensuring that workspaces, restrooms, breakrooms, and common areas are thoroughly sanitized and well-maintained.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Sanitization & Hygiene: Clean and sanitize all restrooms, replace paper products, refill soap dispensers, and maintain strict hygiene standards throughout the facility.
- Surface & Glass Care: Dust and wipe down desks, countertops, fixtures, and furniture. Clean windows, interior glass panels, mirrors, and entry door glass.
- Waste Management: Empty all trash and recycling bins, replace liners, and properly dispose of waste in designated external dumpster areas following company protocols.
- Floor Care: Vacuum carpeted areas, sweep, mop, and scrub hard surface flooring to ensure a spotless appearance.
- Equipment & Supply Maintenance: Safely operate cleaning equipment, keep janitorial closets organized, and maintain proper inventory levels by reporting supply shortages to your supervisor promptly.
- Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety rules, chemical handling protocols (OSHA/SDS compliance), and company guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Facility Support: Assist with special projects, periodic deep cleans, or meeting room setups as needed. Report maintenance issues, damage, or safety hazards immediately.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Previous experience in commercial cleaning, custodial work, or janitorial services is preferred, but willing candidates with a strong work ethic will be trained.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently or in a team, and excellent time-management skills.
- Physical Capabilities: Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift up to 35 lbs throughout shift hours.
