About this role
About the Role
The Lighthouse program is Intuit’s premier customer engagement and advocacy community. This role owns the narrative strategy that determines how that community shows up - inside Intuit at the highest levels of the company, and externally across our go-to-market. You’ll shape the story Intuit tells about its customers, influence how customer voice reaches product and GTM decisions, and build the strategic connective tissue between Lighthouse and Intuit’s marketing engine.
This is a high-autonomy, high-impact IC role with direct exposure to Intuit’s senior leadership. You’ll define the communications and marketing strategy for a program that touches every major business unit, and you’ll be accountable for translating customer engagement into measurable business value through GTM storytelling, executive communications, and cross-functional influence. You report to the Lighthouse Community Leader.
Responsibilities
What You’ll Own
- Executive Narrative Strategy: Define and evolve the narrative framework that positions Lighthouse across Intuit’s senior leadership. Own the weekly executive briefing to 1,200+ leaders, setting the signal on what the program is delivering, what customers are telling us, and where the business should lean in. Shape how customer insight translates into executive attention and action.
- Executive Communications & Thought Leadership: Craft executive content for high-stakes external moments: keynotes, talking points, customer panels, and flagship events like Intuit Connect. Serve as strategic advisor to senior leaders on messaging, customer context, and narrative positioning. Build the frameworks that make executive storytelling repeatable.
- GTM Customer Storytelling & Pipeline: Build and manage the strategic pipeline that identifies which Lighthouse customers show up in Intuit’s go-to-market and why. Partner with Product Marketing, Brand, and Field Marketing to bring customer stories to life across campaigns, events, and sales enablement. Define the criteria and process for customer selection, and measure the downstream impact of customer storytelling on GTM outcomes.
- Communications Strategy & Evolution: Own the end-to-end Lighthouse communications strategy and execution, internal and external. Continuously evaluate what’s landing, what’s not, and where the function needs to evolve as the program scales into new verticals and executive stakeholder needs shift. Build measurement into the work so impact is visible, not assumed.
- Cross-Functional Influence: Operate as a strategic partner to Marketing, not a service function. Drive alignment across PMM, Brand, Events, and Content teams to embed Lighthouse customers into Intuit’s broader narrative. Proactively identify opportunities where customer voice can shape marketing strategy.
Qualifications
What You Bring
- 7+ years in a senior communications, content strategy, or marketing role, ideally in tech. FinTech experience strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
- A track record of shaping narrative strategy, not just executing it. You’ve defined how organizations talk about their customers and influenced business decisions through that work.
- Proven ability to write for executive audiences: crisp, high-signal, zero fluff. You’ve crafted content for C-suite and SVP-level leaders.
- Experience building and managing GTM storytelling pipelines or customer advocacy programs with measurable impact.
- Strong cross-functional influence. You know how to drive outcomes through Marketing, Product, and Comms orgs without owning any of them.
- Comfort operating in ambiguity at the executive level. This role sits at the intersection of customer voice, product strategy, and executive communication.
- Portfolio or writing samples demonstrating strategic range across executive communications, GTM storytelling, and internal leadership comms.
Nice to Have
- Experience in customer community, advisory board, or customer marketing programs at scale.
- Familiarity with B2B SaaS or platform ecosystems.
- Event production or programming experience (you’ll work closely with events, not own them, but fluency helps).
- A point of view on how customer engagement programs should evolve their communications function as they mature.
