Description
As the Manager of Business Line Strategy, you will be responsible for growing and optimizing assigned SendCutSend product lines. You will manage the day-to-day performance of materials, finishes, manufacturing services, pricing, and customer offerings while identifying opportunities to increase revenue, margin, conversion, and repeat business.
You will work closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Support, and Finance to make sure our product offerings match customer demand while remaining operationally scalable and financially sound.
This role combines data analysis, manufacturing knowledge, commercial decision-making, and cross-functional execution. You will turn customer and operational data into actions that improve both the customer experience and the performance of the business.

What you’ll do
- Manage the performance of assigned product lines, including revenue, margin, order volume, average order value, conversion, and repeat purchases.
- Execute product-line strategies established in partnership with leadership.
- Manage and recommend changes to materials, thicknesses, finishes, secondary operations, services, pricing, and promotions.
- Analyze customer ordering behavior, conversion, cart abandonment, pricing, demand trends, and competitive offerings to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Monitor product-line profitability and identify opportunities to improve revenue, margin, or operational efficiency.
- Partner with Manufacturing and Supply Chain to monitor material availability, lead times, production capacity, and operational constraints.
- Identify gaps in the current offering and evaluate opportunities for new materials, finishes, manufacturing capabilities, and services.
- Develop data-driven recommendations and business cases for product-line changes and expansion opportunities.
- Partner with Product and Engineering to identify and prioritize improvements to the online ordering and quoting experience.
- Partner with Marketing on campaigns, promotions, launches, educational content, and customer acquisition initiatives.
- Monitor customer feedback and work with Support, Sales, and operational teams to identify recurring customer needs and opportunities.
- Maintain product-line dashboards and regularly report performance, trends, risks, and opportunities to leadership.
- Coordinate launches and changes involving pricing, materials, services, or manufacturing capabilities across affected departments.
- Track results following launches, pricing changes, promotions, and other initiatives and recommend adjustments based on performance.
- Serve as a cross-functional point of contact for assigned product lines.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in product-line management, category management, e-commerce, manufacturing, business operations, commercial strategy, or a related field.
- Experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, technical-products, or e-commerce environment.
- Experience analyzing revenue, margin, pricing, customer behavior, or product performance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
- Experience working cross-functionally with operations, manufacturing, engineering, product, marketing, finance, or supply chain teams.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple initiatives and stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in industrial or manufacturing e-commerce, or a B2B marketplace (e.g., Amazon Business, Grainger, McMaster-Carr).
- Experience supporting a retail or self-serve channel within a high-growth company.
- Familiarity with CAD, DFM (design-for-manufacturability), or sheet metal and CNC processes.
- Experience with data/reporting tools (e.g., Excel, BI dashboards) used to track retail performance.
Essential Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time
- Ability to use a computer, phone, and other standard office equipment
- Ability to move throughout office and manufacturing environments for extended periods
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb stairs
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to work in environments with noise, moving equipment, temperature variation, and industrial hazards while following safety protocols
Work Environment
- Primarily an office environment with close, regular use of computer monitors
- Time on the shop floor, which requires following standard PPE requirements (safety glasses, hearing protection where posted, closed-toe shoes)

Salary Description
$120,000 - $145,000 annually
