Experienced Project Buyer

What You'll Do
As a Project Buyer, you will be responsible for sourcing and procuring materials, equipment, and services that keep complex construction projects moving forward. You'll partner closely with project teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and on-time delivery. Key Responsibilities:
- Source and purchase materials, equipment, and services while ensuring best overall value.
- Create, issue, and manage purchase orders and purchase agreements.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
- Monitor procurement activities from order placement through final delivery.
- Resolve supplier issues, including returns, replacements, and quality concerns.
- Maintain strong vendor relationships and evaluate supplier performance.
- Coordinate and lead procurement meetings with internal teams and external partners.
- Provide procurement support and analytical insights to project management teams.
- Track project purchasing activities and proactively communicate updates.
- Visit project sites periodically to strengthen relationships and understand field operations.
- Support successful project execution through effective planning, organization, and collaboration.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
- 4+ years of procurement, purchasing, or project buying experience.
- Strong knowledge of purchasing processes, sourcing, negotiations, and contract administration.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to support diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to make sound decisions in fast-paced and evolving environments.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Minneapolis, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $128000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
