The Business Analyst/Customer Operations Manager will act as a strategic partner to the business - cross-functional teams and leadership, developing actionable recommendations/scenarios based on the deep understanding of market insights and first and third-party data sources and ensuring a rigorous approach to measuring value. He/she will leverage on descriptive, predictive and prescriptive analytics, AI and machine learning to turn data into meaningful business insights and adequately inform the decision-making process.
The insights and support provided by this individual will help shape and accelerate leaders’ decision on strategies and tactics to deploy while monitoring performance to prioritize investments.
The Business Analyst/Customer Operations Manager is able to influence the organization to consistently harness the value of an analytical approach, has excellent technical skills combined with superior communication ones and he/she is both technically sound and have the ability to be a proactive change agent, adding value to Lilly's organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partner with the internal stakeholders to understand business needs, becoming a reliable and proactive business partner delivering clear insights and recommendation
- Drive all the Sales Force Strategy and Effectiveness processes (Targeting, Sales Force Strategy, Deployment, Sales Force Effectiveness, Incentives, Customer Relationship Management) in order to maximize Sales Force productivity and to implement Global and International “What good looks like”
- Leverage first- and third-party data to proactively uncover and amplify the most actionable insights.
- Lead advanced analytics activities on the TA assigned leveraging on clear understanding of data architecture, data sources and key systems (VEEVA, IQVIA, Eureka, STE etc.)
- Leverage on descriptive, predictive and prescriptive analytics to turn data into meaningful business insights and strategic and operational decision-making support
- Integrate business intelligence data and disparate data pieces from research and non-research sources (i.e. trends, internal data systems, marketing, etc.) to provide evidence based strategic recommendations to the leadership
- Track appropriate metrics to facilitate timely appropriate intervention and influence corrective actions
- Challenge the status quo to improve strategy, implementation and processes enabling better customer experience and business results as a consequence of sound strategic analysis.
- Create and run defined standardized reports around core operational metrics and ensure the results are correct and understood.
- Work with business partners to make adjustments to standard reports based on changing business needs.
Required qualification, knowledge and essential skills
- Master’s degree in business, marketing, statistics, computer science, or related field (preferred).
- Prior experience in data and analytics across variety of projects such as reporting, dashboard development, exploratory data analysis, segmentation, forecasting, statistical modelling, predictive analysis.
- Excellent AI usage expertise (Claude, Co-Pilot)
- Excellent data querying skills (SQL or equivalent)
- Excellent data mining and data modelling skills (R, KNIME, Alteryx, SAS, Python, or other statistical analysis tools)
- Excellent skills in data visualization (Tableau, Power BI or equivalent)
- English full proficiency (written and spoken)
Business
- Very good understanding of the business fundamentals, business/marketing processes (Customer-Marketing Plan/Business Plan) and business strategy and drivers of business partners (BUs/TAs).
- Understanding of local healthcare industry (e.g. Healthcare data…)
- Solid knowledge of business drivers and market dynamics

- Excellent story telling ability based on data
- Strong project management ability
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills combined with presentation skills to effectively communicate complex concepts
- Ability to influence without authority and challenge business decisions
- Logical, rigorous, and analytical problem-solving approach

- Strong ability of working effectively and contribute in cross-functional teams
