## Position Summary:
The Filling & Packaging Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining liquid filling and packaging lines to meet production, quality, and safety requirements. This position performs equipment setup and changeovers, maintains accurate production records, supports minor maintenance activities, and ensures finished products are properly packaged, labeled, and palletized. HOURS: 10:00pm - 6:30am Monday through Friday (3rd Shift) PAY: $23.53hr + $0.75 & bonus LOCATION: 7405 Page Ave St. Louis, MO
## What You'll Do:
- Set up and operate the complete filling and packaging lines on a daily basis, including sponges, pouches, vials, caps, labels, inkjet code dater, and check weighers, in accordance with product requirements.
- Notify the supervisor or other authorized personnel when packaging supplies or other materials are needed for the packaging line.
- Ensure correct hose connections and operate control panels that regulate the flow of materials to the packaging line.
- Meet production schedules established by supervision and maintain all required written and electronic records.
- Under the direction and oversight of the department supervisor, be able to train a replacement when required.
- Perform setup and minor maintenance on all filling line equipment and assist the maintenance team as needed.
- Properly palletize finished and unfinished products and store them in the appropriate location.
- Use extreme caution when operating moving equipment to prevent damage to materials or property and to protect the safety of all employees at all times.
- Perform proper filling, sealing, weighing, capping, casing, labeling, and inkjet coding of all products.
- Set up and adjust equipment during changeovers for different container sizes on the filling lines.
- Adjust weights as needed for various container sizes on the filling lines.
- Complete and submit written and electronic daily production records, along with any additional documentation required by management.
- Maintain equipment and the surrounding work area in a clean, organized, and disinfected condition at all times.
- Properly mark production waste containers.
## Skills, Abilities, and Experience:
Required:
- High School Graduate or GED Equivalent.
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, safety warning labels, and machine instruction manuals.
- Basic math, writing and data entry skills.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of or experience working with liquid filling machinery, pumps, valves, piping and/or cGMP’s.
- Previous experience working in the chemical manufacturing industry.
- Experience working in on a filling and/or packaging production/manufacturing line.
Other:
- May be expected to move, carry, and lift approximately 60 pounds.
- May be expected to climb heights of approximately10 feet.
- Stand for long periods of time.
- Good hand/eye coordination. Good peripheral vision, manual dexterity, able to read scales, dials and gages, able to wear personal protective equipment as required.
- Equipment listed (Specific Job Requirements) may be used as needed to assist in these Required Competencies: Automatic liquid filling machine, pumps, filters, scales, sealer, capper, valves, cap torquer, hoses, inkjet coding equipment and monitoring components to the line, monitoring all liquid filling line equipment, make hook ups from different lines, routine mechanical adjustments to filling line equipment and during line change over; primemover.

Pay rate for this opportunity is $23.53/hour. This position is eligible for bonus participation.
Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
