About this role

Job Title: Manufacturing Administrator Job Description The Manufacturing Administrator works in a dynamic manufacturing environment, providing comprehensive administrative support to the production team. This role focuses on developing, administering, and maintaining production reports, coordinating training for plant personnel and new product launches, and managing communications between the plant and sales departments regarding production and project-related questions. Responsibilities

- Review daily production labor hours and job assignments to ensure they are correctly recorded in ADP and processed accurately.
- Process daily time correction sheets and submit them to payroll, while assisting payroll with questions related to time punches.
- Support human resources and payroll by documenting late lunch punches and preparing non-compliance reports related to LAT codes.
- Prepare and distribute the daily milk inventory report by reading electronic gauges and manual tank measurements.
- Coordinate training activities for plant personnel, delivering training through Absorb or other platforms to front-line employees in both English and Spanish.
- Perform daily data entry of fill sheets and production reports as defined by leadership, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Coordinate new product launches across a cross-functional team using a standardized project tracking tool in Excel to ensure all setup procedures are completed for successful implementation.
- Manage incoming sales requests related to new projects and late order changes, and provide timely updates on production activities when required.
- Maintain a Skill Matrix report in Excel to ensure adequate staffing depth by shift and to confirm that filling lines and processes are supported by appropriately trained personnel.
- Print and distribute fill sheets and cross-train on fill sheet preparation using various data input methods and system tools.

Essential Skills

- Proven experience in administrative support within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and related tools.
- Ability to read and interpret electronic gauges and manual tank readings for inventory reporting.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Spanish, with the ability to conduct training for front-line employees.
- Solid customer service skills for managing and responding to sales department requests.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in timekeeping, reporting, and documentation.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
- Competence in filing, organizing, and maintaining documentation and reports.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Experience working with ADP or similar timekeeping and payroll systems.
- Familiarity with training coordination and e-learning platforms such as Absorb.
- Experience using Excel as a project tracking tool for cross-functional initiatives.
- Experience in supporting human resources or payroll functions with compliance-related documentation.
- Ability to maintain and update skill matrices or similar workforce planning tools.
- Comfort working with various data input and system tools used in production reporting.

Work Environment This role is based in a manufacturing plant environment that operates at a fast pace and relies on accurate production and inventory reporting. The Manufacturing Administrator regularly interacts with production personnel, human resources, payroll, and sales teams, and uses technologies such as ADP, Microsoft Office (especially Excel), electronic gauges, and training platforms like Absorb. Work typically involves standard office activities within the plant, including computer-based reporting, documentation, and coordination tasks, as well as periodic presence on the production floor to gather data and support training and communication needs.

This is a Contract position based out of San Marcos, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
