Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable and compassionate Special Education Paraprofessional to support teachers and students in an educational setting. This position assists with instruction, behavioral strategies, IEP goals, daily living skills, and student safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist teachers with instructional activities, behavioral strategies, and IEP goals.
- Provide individual and group support with academics, social skills, and daily living activities.
- Monitor students and equipment to promote a safe environment.
- Assist with student care, including lifting, toileting, feeding, and personal hygiene as needed.
- Observe, document, and maintain student records according to agency and state requirements.
- Transport students to activities or appointments when required.
- Participate in training and professional development.
Qualifications
- Resume
- IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- CPR/BLS Card
- Associates Degree OR completion of 60 units of college coursework OR a valid Paraprofessional certification
- COVID-19 vaccination or declination of offered vaccine
- Hepatitis B vaccination or declination of offered vaccine
