Job Title: Business Analyst Job Description The Business Analyst gathers and translates business requirements into effective reporting and analytics solutions that support data-driven decision-making in a fast-paced environment. This role develops and maintains SQL-based datasets and reports, builds business intelligence solutions using leading BI tools, and ensures the integrity and availability of data across the organization. The Business Analyst collaborates closely with business stakeholders, leadership, and technology teams to prioritize initiatives, enhance financial and operational reporting, and drive continuous improvement through insightful analysis. Responsibilities
- Gather, document, and refine business requirements to support strategic reporting, analytics, and business intelligence projects.
- Facilitate recurring and ad hoc reporting and data requests to support analytical and operational decision-making across the organization.
- Develop and maintain datasets and reports using SQL (Oracle and/or SQL Server) to provide meaningful insights across various business functions.
- Create and enhance business intelligence solutions utilizing reporting and analytics tools such as SAP BusinessObjects (Web Intelligence, Information Design Tool [IDT]), Excel, Microsoft Power BI, and other BI platforms.
- Prioritize reporting requests and project initiatives in collaboration with business stakeholders and technology teams to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Develop financial and operational reports to analyze revenue, costs, expenses, transactions, and performance trends.
- Ensure the completeness, accuracy, integrity, and availability of data used across the organization.
- Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of data governance standards, including consistent data definitions, naming conventions, and quality controls.
- Provide training, guidance, and ongoing support to end users of business intelligence and reporting tools to improve adoption and effective usage.
- Document report specifications, processes, procedures, and technical solutions for current and future analytics initiatives.
- Audit, validate, and analyze data to identify issues, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
- Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders, leadership teams, and technical resources to support reporting and data initiatives.
- Assist with exception reporting, root cause analysis, and resolution efforts in partnership with business and technology teams.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned to support evolving business needs.
Essential Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Information Technology, Business Intelligence, or Database Management, including developing data visualizations, creating end-user reports, and performing data analysis using BI platforms.
- Hands-on experience with SAP BusinessObjects, including Web Intelligence and Information Design Tool (IDT).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Power BI for building reports and dashboards.
- Strong SQL skills, including experience with Oracle and/or SQL Server for developing and maintaining datasets and reports.
- At least 2 years of accounting and/or financial reporting experience.
- Solid understanding of financial and operational reporting, including revenue, costs, expenses, transactions, and performance trends.
- Ability to gather, document, and refine business requirements from stakeholders and translate them into technical specifications.
- Experience in auditing, validating, and analyzing data to ensure completeness, accuracy, integrity, and availability.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with business stakeholders, leadership teams, and technical resources.
- Ability to provide training and support to end users of business intelligence and reporting tools.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with PeopleSoft is preferred.
- Project management experience is preferred.
- Masters degree is preferred.
- Experience in accounting or finance is advantageous for interpreting financial and operational data.
- Experience supporting data governance standards, including data definitions, naming conventions, and quality controls.
- Ability to document report specifications, processes, procedures, and technical solutions for analytics initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for exception reporting, root cause analysis, and identifying improvement opportunities.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
Work Environment This role operates in a professional, fast-paced office environment with a standard work schedule of 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The position offers a hybrid arrangement with remote work on Fridays, supporting flexibility while maintaining close collaboration with business and technology teams during the rest of the week. Work is primarily performed using business intelligence platforms such as SAP BusinessObjects and Microsoft Power BI, as well as SQL-based databases (Oracle and/or SQL Server) and Excel. The environment emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, data-driven decision-making, and continuous improvement in reporting and analytics practices.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $100000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
