### Electrical Design and Test Engineer
Onsite in Houston Texas
US Citizen / Permanent Resident Required
Aerospace/Space exp preferred but not required
Key Responsibilities
- Support electrical buildup and test operations , including wiring, power distribution, controls integration, and required documentation.
- Design and oversee installation of low‑voltage power distribution systems for test facilities and equipment.
- Program PLCs or NI hardware , specify sensors, and develop calibration curves for instrumentation and control systems.
- Specify, select, and initiate procurement of electrical and control system hardware.
- Review, track, and report engineering deliverables to support project status visibility.
- Resolve corrective actions related to electrical or control system issues as they arise.
- Develop and maintain operating procedures for electrical and control systems.
- Perform additional duties in support of facility operations, maintenance, and test readiness.
Requisition Qualifications
Baseline Requirements (multiple levels posted):
- Bachelors degree in Engineering.
- 2–5 years of experience in electrical engineering, test engineering, or a related discipline.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings .
- Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC) .
- Proficiency with computers and control system interfaces .
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Requisition Preferences
- BS in Electrical, Electronics, or Power Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Familiarity with Aerospace / Spacecraft / DOD organizations, processes, and procedures.
- Experience with sensor and instrumentation installation .
- Knowledge of Allen‑Bradley PLCs and associated programming software.
