Compensation: $75,000 - $100,000 per year (Commensurate with experience) + Paid Time Off

Position Summary
We are seeking a talented and creative Residential Architect to join a dynamic, in-house design and construction team. In this role, you will take residential projects from initial client concept through complete drafting, modeling, permitting, and final construction. You will work directly with homeowners, internal construction managers, trade contractors, and engineering partners to deliver innovative, code-compliant residential designs and renovations on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Lead residential building projects from initial concept design through final construction completion.
Create detailed architectural drafts, 3D renderings, and construction documents using Chief Architect, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite.
Consult directly with clients to understand their vision, functional requirements, and budget expectations, presenting design proposals for approval.
Collaborate closely with internal construction managers, field contractors, and structural engineers to ensure seamless implementation of architectural plans.
Develop project schedules, manage design budgets, and navigate local Long Island building codes, zoning regulations, and municipal permitting processes.
Perform site visits during construction to oversee plan execution, resolve field conditions, and maintain design integrity.
Manage design revisions, material selections, and project documentation throughout the construction lifecycle.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: Proven professional experience in residential architectural design, drafting, and residential remodeling/new builds.
Technical Software Proficiency: Strong hands-on expertise in Chief Architect , AutoCAD , and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator).
Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of residential construction management, framing/structural principles, and local building codes.
Project Management: Strong organizational skills with experience in project scheduling, budgeting, and coordinate with field trades.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to convey complex design ideas clearly to homeowners and construction crews alike.
Location: Must be able to commute daily to the Plainview, NY office/job sites.
