Job Title: Construction Quality Control Manager Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Quality Control Manager for a significant project at Hanscome Airforce Base. This role involves overseeing the quality control aspects of a $20M logistics building project, ensuring compliance with US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) standards. The position is full-time, scheduled for 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with start times ranging from 6-7 AM. The successful candidate will remain on this project until April 2027 before transitioning to a new project at Fort Drum in NY.
Responsibilities
- Conduct field inspections before crews commence work.
- Verify that previous deficiencies have been corrected.
- Review ongoing work to ensure it complies with drawings and specifications.
- Identify potential quality issues before they require rework.
- Inspect concrete, steel, electrical, mechanical, civil, and architectural installations.
- Ensure work follows approved submittals and shop drawings.
- Verify appropriate workmanship standards are met.
- Monitor subcontractor quality performance.
- Complete daily QA/QC reports and maintain inspection logs.
- Track punch list and deficiency items.
- Document observations with photos.
- Review submitted materials and equipment for compliance.
- Verify approved submittals are installed in the field.
- Coordinate with the project team regarding RFIs and specification clarifications.
Essential Skills
- Completion of the Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQM-C) course.
- At least 4 years of experience as a QC Manager.
- 10 years of overall construction experience.
- Familiarity with EM 385-1-1 requirements.
- Experience in hazard identification, safety compliance, and sustainability.
- Comfortable with managing projects sized between $20M-$40M.

Work Environment
The work will be conducted on-site at the Hanscome Airforce Base in MA, transitioning to Fort Drum in NY. The role requires adherence to safety and quality standards, necessitating a thorough understanding of construction management and quality control processes. The position includes travel coverage for housing and a daily per diem for meals.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New York, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $57.69 - $62.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
