JOB SUMMARY:
Bus Drivers play a key role in delivering an exceptional guest experience and supporting Mission Ridges overall operations. This position involves transporting guests and employees between the Mission Ridge parking lot and offsite parking areas using resort shuttle buses. Ideal candidates are self-motivated, punctual, well-organized, and possess strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
Bus Drivers are responsible for daily pre- and post-trip vehicle safety checks, maintaining a clean bus environment, assisting guests with gear and equipment, and ensuring safe and timely transportation. Flexibility is essential, as drivers may be called upon to assist with other duties or parking plans during peak periods or inclement weather.
Qualifications
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/TASKS:
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age to perform this job.
- Snow Management: Required to shovel snow at various locations as needed.
- Valid Drivers License: Must hold a valid drivers license and be eligible for company vehicle insurance.
- Vehicle Safety Checks: Conduct a thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspection of the bus each day.
- Fueling: Fill the shuttle bus with fuel at the end of each shift.
- Parking Lot Safety: Maintain safe and clear parking lot conditions.
- Guest Assistance: Help guests and employees load and unload gear and equipment onto buses.
- Flexible Scheduling: Work 10–40+ hours per week, depending on weather and snow conditions.
- Appropriate Attire: Must wear appropriate cold-weather clothing; some gear may be provided by Mission Ridge.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Valid Drivers License: Required to operate company vehicles.
- Public Interaction: Must be comfortable with regular guest and employee interaction.
- Customer Service: A friendly attitude and clear communication skills are essential for working with the public.
- Flexibility and Adaptability: Willingness to take on alternate roles or tasks as needed.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid drivers license. Previous driving or customer service experience is preferred but not required. Applicants must be insurable under company policies and capable of operating vehicles safely in mountain environments. No formal education requirements are specified, but strong communication skills and reliability are essential for success in this role.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position involves operating a shuttle bus in mountain driving conditions and working outdoors for extended periods. Drivers must be prepared for all types of weather, including snow, wind, rain, fog, and sunshine. Weekend and holiday shifts are expected during the ski season. Mission Ridge is a drug- and alcohol-free workplace and maintains a non-smoking environment. Due to the seasonal nature of the ski industry, hours may be reduced or adjusted depending on weather and operational needs.

-Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
