Position Overview
CLFC Healthcare and Communications is assembling the team it will propose to Anne Arundel County Public Schools for the district's Behavioral and Mental Health Residency Model, and is selecting the two Board Certified Behavior Analysts who will lead the behavioral work. Team members are named in our proposal with their resumes and credentials, and positions begin on contract award.
The residency places a multidisciplinary team of two BCBAs, eight Registered Behavior Technicians and a licensed mental health provider in twelve elementary schools. The schools serve high acuity students, with and without disabilities, who show significant social, emotional, behavioral and mental health needs.
You do the work a BCBA trains for, embedded in schools and with a team around you: functional behavioral assessments, behavior intervention plans, classroom observation, coaching for teachers and paraeducators, and supervision of the RBTs who carry your plans through the school day.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct or support Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) assigned by the district for students with significant behavioral needs.
- Develop, revise, implement and monitor Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) based on student data and the identified function of behavior.
- Provide direct observation, assessment and consultation in classrooms and other school settings.
- Model evidence-based behavioral strategies and support the development of replacement behaviors.
- Supervise Registered Behavior Technicians to Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) requirements: direct and indirect supervision, performance feedback, fidelity monitoring and documentation of supervision.
- Coach and give performance feedback to teachers, paraeducators, administrators and related service providers.
- Support school teams with crisis prevention, de-escalation planning and post-incident problem solving.
- Participate in IEP meetings, student support meetings, MTSS meetings and manifestation-related discussions as the district requests.
- Collaborate with district leadership on implementation, documentation and fidelity.
- Help each school build its own staff capacity to sustain behavioral supports.
Required Qualifications

- Ability to clear the background checks that Maryland law and Anne Arundel County Public Schools require for work with students.
- A current resume and copies of your credentials, which CLFC submits to the district with its proposal.
Strongly Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in elementary schools serving high acuity students.
- Experience supervising RBTs to BACB requirements.
- Working knowledge of IEP processes, MTSS and trauma-informed practice.
- Crisis prevention and de-escalation training.
- Experience in Maryland public schools.

- All hours worked are paid, including documentation, meetings, supervision and travel between schools during the school day.
- School-day hours on the district calendar. No evening or weekend sessions and no travel between client homes.
- The contract term runs through September 30, 2027, with two one-year option periods available to the district.
- CLFC manages credential verification, background clearances and district onboarding, so you arrive cleared and assigned.
