Bring your clinical expertise, compassion, and commitment to helping others to Brook Lane. We are seeking a Social Worker or Counselor who is passionate about supporting patients and families through lifes challenges and helping them achieve their highest level of emotional and social well-being.
In this role, youll work with autonomy while providing professional counseling services, completing comprehensive assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and connecting patients and families with the resources and support they need.
What Youll Do
As a Social Worker or Counselor, you will:
- Conduct psychosocial and mental health assessments to identify patient needs.
- Provide professional counseling, support, and therapeutic interventions to patients and families.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans .
- Support patients and families as they adjust to illness and other challenges affecting their overall well-being.
- Provide appropriate information, referrals, and connections to community resources and social service programs.
- Communicate effectively and compassionately with individuals from a variety of socioeconomic and educational backgrounds.
- Apply professional counseling principles, practices, techniques, and standards while providing patient-centered care.
What Youll Bring
Education
- Masters degree in counseling from an accredited school required.
Experience
- One year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
Licensure
- Appropriate Maryland licensure based on the degree held is required.
- Candidates must be licensed at a minimum of the graduate level.
- Applicable licensure may include LCSW-C, LCPC, LGPC, or LMSW .
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
The ideal candidate will bring:
- Knowledge of professional counseling principles, practices, techniques, and standards.
- Knowledge of community organizations and available social service programs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- The ability to connect and communicate effectively with people from diverse socioeconomic and educational backgrounds.
- A compassionate, professional approach to supporting patients and families.
