Job Title: Hook-up & Brownfield Manager

KBR Abu Dhabi PMC Team is currently seeking experienced professionals for the position listed below in support of a major Offshore Project. The role will be initially  based at either the Client's Office or the Contractor's Office in Abu Dhabi, UAE and if required, later move to Offshore site.

Job Purpose

The Hook-Up & Brownfield Manager will be responsible for the planning, coordination and execution oversight of offshore hook-up, brownfield modifications and integration activities associated with existing offshore facilities.

The role will provide leadership across engineering, construction, commissioning and operations interfaces to ensure brownfield works are executed safely and efficiently while minimizing disruption to existing operating facilities.

Key Responsibilities

·       Lead the overall planning, coordination and execution of offshore hook-up and brownfield activities .

·       Manage brownfield modifications and integration activities on existing offshore platforms, facilities and associated systems.

·       Develop and oversee hook-up and brownfield execution strategies , construction sequencing and implementation plans.

·       Coordinate offshore construction activities including structural, piping, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and telecom works.

·       Review contractor construction methodology, work packs, installation procedures and execution schedules.

·       Ensure adequate constructability reviews are performed during engineering and prior to offshore execution.

·       Coordinate brownfield engineering with construction, commissioning and operations requirements.

·       Manage interfaces between greenfield facilities and existing brownfield installations .

·       Ensure tie-ins are properly identified, engineered, planned and incorporated into the overall execution schedule.

·       Coordinate shutdown and turnaround-related work scopes, including tie-in and reinstatement activities.

·       Manage SIMOPS interfaces and ensure construction activities are properly coordinated with operating facilities.

·       Work closely with Operations, Engineering, HSE, Construction, Commissioning and other project disciplines.

·       Review offshore resource requirements including manpower, construction equipment, marine spread and specialist resources.

·       Monitor EPC contractor/subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with approved project requirements.

·       Monitor hook-up and brownfield progress against the approved schedule and identify potential delays or constraints.

·       Lead resolution of site queries, construction constraints, access issues and interdisciplinary/interface conflicts.

·       Ensure appropriate risk assessments and controls are incorporated into brownfield execution planning.

·       Promote strong HSE leadership throughout offshore activities. ADNOC's published HSE policy specifically emphasizes effective risk controls, process safety, asset integrity, incident prevention and empowering employees and contractors to stop unsafe work.

·       Participate in construction readiness, pre-commissioning and commissioning readiness reviews.

·       Coordinate mechanical completion, system handover and turnover of completed brownfield modifications to commissioning/operations.

·       Ensure punch-list items affecting system completion and start-up are appropriately managed and closed.

·       Ensure lessons learned from brownfield and offshore execution activities are captured and implemented.

·       Provide regular progress, risk, interface and performance reporting to Project Management.

Qualifications

·       Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Structural, Civil, Offshore Engineering or equivalent engineering discipline .

·       Strong experience in Oil & Gas offshore projects, particularly brownfield modifications and hook-up activities .

·       Previous experience in a managerial or senior leadership position overseeing offshore construction/brownfield execution.

·       ADNOC/ADNOC Offshore project experience is highly desirable.

·       PMC/PMT and major EPC project experience is preferred.
