About this role

Summary

As the Lead, Global Data Partnerships, you will manage the global team responsible for executing our data sourcing priorities and building the supplier ecosystem that supports our fraud protection, identity, and network API products.
Working closely with Product Management, you will translate data strategy and product priorities into actionable sourcing plans. You will lead supplier discovery, evaluation, commercial negotiations, contracting, integration readiness, and ongoing partner performance across global markets.

You will also serve as an important source of market intelligence. Through your relationships with telecommunications operators, aggregators, and data providers, you will proactively identify emerging data sources, signals, and capabilities and partner with Product Management to evaluate their potential customer value and strategic fit.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong industry relationships, commercial judgment, operational discipline, curiosity about emerging market capabilities, and the ability to develop and lead a distributed global team.

Responsibilities

Data Sourcing Execution

•Translate Product Management's global data strategy and priorities into actionable sourcing plans across markets and data categories.
•Identify, evaluate, and secure data sources required to support product roadmap priorities and customer needs.
•Drive sourcing initiatives from market assessment through supplier selection, contracting, integration readiness, and production launch.
•Maintain visibility into sourcing progress, dependencies, risks, costs, and coverage gaps.
•Establish clear execution plans, KPIs, and operating rhythms for the Global Data Partnerships team.
•Identify and escalate sourcing constraints, tradeoffs, or market limitations that could affect product priorities or timelines.

Market Intelligence & Opportunity Discovery

•Proactively identify emerging data sources, signals, capabilities, and supplier innovations through ongoing industry and partner engagement.
•Surface promising data opportunities to Product Management for evaluation of potential customer use cases, differentiation, and strategic fit.
•Provide market intelligence on changes in data availability, supplier capabilities, industry trends, and commercial models.
•Partner with Product Management to explore the feasibility and potential value of newly identified data opportunities.
•Maintain awareness of developments across telecommunications, identity, fraud prevention, authentication, and adjacent data ecosystems that may create new product opportunities.

Team Leadership

•Lead and develop a distributed team responsible for data partnerships and sourcing across multiple regions.
•Provide hands-on coaching, prioritization, and decision support to the team.
•Establish clear accountability, goals, and performance expectations.
•Build repeatable processes and operating standards that improve execution speed and consistency across regions.
•Develop team capabilities and create opportunities for increased ownership and professional growth.

Partnership Development

•Build and maintain senior-level relationships with telecommunications operators, aggregators, data providers, and digital identity ecosystem partners.
•Leverage industry relationships to identify new sourcing opportunities and accelerate access to strategically important data.
•Develop durable supplier partnerships that improve data coverage, quality, economics, and operational resilience.
•Maintain an active understanding of supplier roadmaps and emerging capabilities that may create future value for our products.
•Represent the company in relevant industry forums, working groups, and partner discussions.

Supplier Evaluation & Operational Readiness

•Lead supplier evaluation across commercial, technical, legal, privacy, regulatory, and operational dimensions.
•Coordinate cross-functional readiness for new data integrations with Product, Engineering, Legal, Privacy, Security, Finance, and Operations.
•Ensure sourcing commitments can be operationalized at the required quality, scale, economics, and timeline.
•Establish supplier performance management across quality, availability, coverage, SLA, and commercial performance.

Contracting & Commercial Management

•Lead complex supplier negotiations from initial engagement through contract execution.
•Optimize commercial terms across cost, quality, coverage, flexibility, and strategic value.
•Establish appropriate governance for strategic suppliers, including regular business reviews and performance management.
•Identify opportunities to improve supplier economics and reduce concentration, continuity, or operational risk.

Cross-Functional Partnership

•Partner closely with Product Management on data strategy, investment priorities, product requirements, and sourcing needs.
•Provide supplier intelligence, market insights, feasibility assessments, and commercial inputs to inform Product decisions.
•Bring newly identified data capabilities and market opportunities to Product Management for use-case discovery and evaluation.
•Work with Engineering and Operations to ensure successful integration and operationalization of new data sources.
•Support customer and commercial teams where supplier expertise or market knowledge is required to advance strategic opportunities.
•Escalate material sourcing constraints and tradeoffs early and clearly.

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant experience in telecommunications, digital identity, fraud prevention, data partnerships, authentication, or adjacent industries.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience; advanced degree is a plus.
• Experience managing international supplier or partnership portfolios.
• Experience leading a global or geographically distributed team.
• Working knowledge of telecommunications data ecosystems, APIs, identity signals, privacy requirements, and data licensing models.
• Strong network across telecom operators, aggregators, data providers, or adjacent identity ecosystems.
• Demonstrated ability to identify, source, negotiate, and operationalize complex data or technology partnerships.
• Strong commercial judgment and experience negotiating complex supplier agreements.
• Curious and externally oriented, with the ability to recognize emerging data capabilities that may create customer or product value.
• Hands-on leadership style with experience coaching and developing distributed teams.
• Ability to translate strategic priorities into clear execution plans and measurable outcomes.
• Strong cross-functional leadership skills across Product, Engineering, Legal, Privacy, Finance, and Operations.
• Comfortable operating across cultures, geographies, and time zones.
• Clear and concise communicator capable of operating effectively with executives, product leaders, technical teams, and external partners.
• Highly pragmatic, accountable, and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment.
• Fluent English; additional languages are beneficial.
