About this role

Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant Job Description This role primarily supports internal and family medicine, with occasional involvement in pediatrics. Responsibilities include robust chart preparation, navigating various medical portals, assisting with procedures such as pap smears, conducting in-house urinalysis, point-of-care testing, lab draws, and potentially handling front desk check-ins/outs for later shifts. Responsibilities

- Primarily back office duties with some front office tasks as needed.
- Obtain patient medical history, medication list, and vital signs and accurately document data in the patients electronic health record (EHR).
- Clean and disinfect exam rooms after patient examinations.
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and ensure they are adequately stocked with necessary medical supplies.
- Locate information and navigate patients charts efficiently.
- Manage medical records, lab work, and radiology through separate portals such as RADnet and Quest.
- Allocate one administrative day for charting for all providers and Medical Assistants to prepare for the week.

Essential Skills

- Experience in acute care, internal family medicine.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Certification through CCBMA or NCCT or NHA.
- Charting and administrative skills in a medical setting.
- Proficiency in utilizing computers and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) with basic to intermediate proficiency.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program.
- One year of experience in family medicine or internal medicine is preferred.
- CPR and first aid certification within 60 days of hire.

Work Environment Initial training is Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The schedule will then change to Monday to Friday, either 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM or 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The dress code is black scrubs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Victorville, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.81 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
