Position: Automotive Technician

Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Nissan Automotive Technician to join our Service Department. The ideal candidate will have strong diagnostic and repair skills, a commitment to quality workmanship, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dealership environment.
Nissan experience and certifications are preferred; however, we welcome experienced automotive technicians who are interested in growing their skills and advancing their careers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on customer vehicles.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical concerns accurately and efficiently.
- Perform repairs in accordance with manufacturer specifications and dealership standards.
- Complete assigned repair orders accurately and within established timeframes.
- Conduct multi-point vehicle inspections and identify needed maintenance or repairs.
- Communicate findings and repair recommendations clearly to Service Advisors and management.
- Road test vehicles when necessary to verify concerns and completed repairs.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all work performed.
- Properly use and maintain dealership tools, equipment, and diagnostic systems.
- Follow all manufacturer warranty repair procedures and documentation requirements.
- Follow dealership safety policies and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Complete required Nissan and dealership training.
- Maintain productivity, efficiency, and quality standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Previous automotive technician experience required.
- Nissan dealership or manufacturer experience preferred.
- Nissan certifications preferred but not required.
- ASE certifications are a plus.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to use automotive diagnostic equipment and repair tools.
- Ability to read and understand repair orders, technical information, and manufacturer procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must have a valid drivers license and an acceptable driving record.
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position.
Physical Requirements
This position regularly requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and working in and around vehicles. The employee must be able to use hand and power tools and lift and/or move automotive parts, equipment, and other materials as required to perform the essential functions of the position.
Schedule
Full-time position. Schedule may include weekdays and Saturdays based on department and business needs.
