Electrical Engineer
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with 5-10+ years of experience designing electrical systems for commercial, industrial, and mission-critical facilities. The ideal candidate will hold a PE license (or be actively pursuing licensure) and have experience supporting Data Center and Mission Critical projects.
### Responsibilities
Design electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, communications, and control systems. Perform electrical calculations, load analyses, energy code compliance reviews, and code evaluations. Develop construction documents, specifications, and basis of design reports. Coordinate designs with architectural, structural, mechanical, and other project disciplines. Conduct site surveys, field verifications, and construction administration activities, including RFI and submittal reviews. Participate in client meetings, site visits, and project coordination throughout the project lifecycle. Review drawings, identify coordination issues, and communicate solutions to project teams. Assist with facility assessments, feasibility studies, and equipment life-cycle evaluations.
### Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university. PE license or actively working toward licensure. 5-10+ years of electrical engineering experience. Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and design best practices. Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office. Experience performing electrical design calculations and preparing construction documents. Strong communication, organizational, and project coordination skills.
### Preferred Qualifications
Data Center and Mission Critical project experience. Experience with industrial and commercial facility design. Familiarity with equipment selection software and construction cost estimating tools (MEANS). Experience supporting construction administration and multidisciplinary project teams. Ability to optimize designs to meet client goals, energy standards, and project budgets. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plano, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $52.00 - $72.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
