Quality & Regulatory Specialist
Long-Term Opportunity | Offers Benefits | Career Growth Job Description This Specialist partners closely with Quality, R&D, and cross-functional teams to support product safety, quality, and regulatory compliance for a growing food manufacturer. This role maintains and enhances regulatory programs, ensures compliance with applicable regulations and customer requirements, and supports continuous improvement efforts related to product quality, safety, and cost reduction. Responsibilities
- Manage supplier and ingredient approval programs to ensure all materials meet regulatory, safety, and quality requirements.
- Review, maintain, and process supplier documentation through electronic document management systems, ensuring records are accurate, current, and audit-ready.
- Maintain customer regulatory documentation and compliance records, including specifications, certifications, and statements of compliance.
- Coordinate change control activities for product formulas, specifications, and labels to ensure regulatory compliance and accurate documentation.
- Maintain regulatory programs and records to support ongoing audit preparedness and third-party certification requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve regulatory processes, systems, and documentation workflows to enhance efficiency and compliance.
- Support food safety, product quality, and regulatory compliance initiatives in alignment with company standards and industry best practices.
- Prepare regulatory documentation, reports, and analyses to support internal teams, customers, and external regulatory requirements.
- Provide regulatory support and guidance to R&D, Sales, and Operations teams, helping them understand and apply regulatory requirements.
- Support compliance with customer requirements and third-party certification standards, including SQF and BRC, through documentation, audits, and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate product traceability activities to ensure timely and accurate tracking of ingredients and finished goods.
- Promote compliance with food safety, food defense, quality, and current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) requirements throughout the facility.
- Interpret and apply local, federal, and international regulatory requirements, including frameworks such as REACH where applicable.
- Collaborate frequently with Quality, R&D, and Operations in a food manufacturing environment to align regulatory activities with operational needs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in a science-related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of international regulations is a plus.
- Experience supporting third-party certification programs such as SQF and BRC is preferred.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eden Prairie, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
