About this role
Tesla is looking for an experienced people leader to lead our ground operations group
across North America. The Logistics Supervisor will be responsible for end-to-end
ownership of the team including hiring, onboarding, upskilling, performance management
and daily logistics operations execution.
- Lead day-to-day management of Yard Management Associates, including coaching, performance management, scheduling, and development
- Drive end-to-end logistics site readiness, including workplace standards, safety, and associate quality-of-life improvements
- Own network throughput, operational efficiency, and carrier performance against logistics KPIs with Logistics Analyst groups
- Cross functional collaboration with internal teams and external carriers/vendors to resolve operational issues and improve service
- Manage team-related expenses (labor, PPE, supplies) within plan and identify cost/productivity opportunities
- Support broader finished-product logistics needs across the network as required (launches, surges, special projects)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Operations, or related field, or equivalent evidence of exceptional ability
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time across North America and flexible working hours including nights or weekends
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office including Excel, Tableau, AI tools with excellent analytical abilities
- 2+ years of hourly associate leadership experience across markets
- 2+ years of extensive logistics yard operations experience
- Evidence of strong critical thinking and problem-solving experience
