We have a wonderful opportunity for a Director of Culinary Services who is passionate about creating delicious, nourishing meals that bring joy to our residents every day. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on leading a kitchen team, crafting menus that reflect our residents' tastes and needs, and turning every meal into a warm, welcoming dining experience, all while upholding the highest standards of quality, safety, and hospitality.
This is a full-time position, paying between $65-70,000 per year DOE. The schedule may include Saturdays/Sundays.
Our Directors of Culinary Services
- Create a beautiful, delicious, and well balanced range of meals for our residents.
- Help hire and train new Team Members, building a passion for the culinary arts!
- Assist in the preparation of meals
- Periodically review the menu and food service with our residents to ensure satisfaction and brainstorm new menu ideas!
- Deliver a menu and service aligned with our Transforming Age Culture of Excellence.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you need to succeed!
- High school diploma or the equivalent education, training and experience. Culinary degree preferred.
- Five years’ experience as executive chef, chef in hotel, restaurant, club, or other similar employment.
- Experience in menus for restricted diets.
- Excellent oral, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge in all areas of local Health Department, OSHA, and other regulatory agencies.
- Able to meet budgets and control costs.
- Completion of a background check. Additional prescreening requirements such as a drug test, fingerprint, TB test, and/or physical may be required per state/local guidelines.
