About this role

Job Title: Buyer Level 3 Job Description The Buyer Level 3 role is a mid-level strategic procurement position within a manufacturing-focused purchasing organization. This professional is responsible for end-to-end sourcing, supplier management, and cost optimization in support of production operations, with direct impact on production continuity, cost control, and supplier performance. The role combines strategic influence, technical depth, and autonomy, allowing an experienced procurement specialist to move beyond transactional buying and operate as a trusted business partner across engineering, quality, and operations. Responsibilities & Essential Skills

- Proven experience in strategic sourcing and supplier selection within a manufacturing environment.
- SAP proficiency, with the ability to manage purchasing, inventory, and supplier data in SAP (SAP experience is a must)
- Strong experience in procurement of materials and components for production operations.
- Demonstrated expertise in vendor management and supplier performance evaluation, including KPI monitoring and corrective actions.
- Hands-on experience with cost management, including cost reduction initiatives and mitigation of cost increases.
- Solid knowledge of inventory management and supplier management principles in a supply chain context.
- Experience with planning, MRP, purchasing, and ERP systems in a manufacturing or supply chain environment.
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable pricing and commercial terms.
- Ability to perform pricing analysis and variance analysis to support data-driven procurement decisions.
- Capability to assess supply chain and financial risks and propose practical mitigation strategies.
- Comfort working cross-functionally with engineering, quality, and production teams on sourcing and supplier-related issues.
- Ability to interpret technical information and manufacturing requirements to inform sourcing decisions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills applied to cost, inventory, and supplier performance challenges.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration and influence across multiple functional areas.
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and make strategic decisions within defined guidelines.

Work Environment This role is fully onsite, working Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oxnard, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $43.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
