Specialist Engineering, HSBC Technology & Services (USA) Inc., Buffalo, NY:
Electronic payment systems architect and lead support responsible for system modifications for new features and functions for all Pin Debt traffic. Vendor management of 3rd party vendor. Create all processes and procedures for all aspects of the payments systems. From day-to-day operations, patching various system, role swap activities and disaster recovery exercises. Work with other production support teams to troubleshoot payment processing issues for all pin and debt-based transactions. Provide technical analysis for maintaining and creating 3-year system roadmaps. Provide on call Support for afterhours activities (Role swaps, patching, system upgrades, testing and troubleshooting. Work with 3rd party vendors Fiserv, Kal, and Lusis, to review detailed roadmaps for application, system upgrades and coordinate with business teams to set expectations for delivery dates. Ensure all systems are in compliance with current PCI (security standards council) standards and internal regulations. Review and maintain the current design flow of all Pin debt traffic for HSBC US as the lead architect for upcoming system patches, changes etc.
Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week. Willingness and ability to participate in on call 24x7 support as required, including scheduled after hours activities such as patching, upgrades, and role swap activities.

Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week. Pay Range: $169,304.00 to $179,304.00 per year.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in computer science, computer engineering or mechanical engineering or a related field and 3 years of related work experience.
Must have 3 years of experience in:
- Electronic payment systems;
- Transaction Processing systems;
- Secure and encrypted AES network communications;
- Encryption key managing HSM or KSM;
- Base24 Classic, Base24-eps, or Lusis Tango platform;
- ISO 8583 message formats and global Card Schemes (Visa, Master Card, Amex and similar);
- Card schemes simulators; and,
- Testing large scale projects involving ATM’s (NCR, Diebold and Hyosung).
Must have 2 years of experience in:
- Architecture lead on designing and implementation of cards payment systems;
- EMV card standards and supporting payment systems (ATM and POS);
- NDC+/DDC to message formats; and,
- Fiserv Star and Optis network schemes.
