We're partnering with a leading employee-owned mechanical construction contractor that is delivering some of the most visible HVAC and infrastructure work in Southern California. The team is looking for a Mechanical HVAC Project Manageror a high-potential Assistant PM or Senior Project Engineer ready for the next stepwho understands how mechanical contractors actually deliver projects in the field.

We're looking for someone who has worked directly for a mechanical contractor and understands what it takes to move a project from buyout through closeout while balancing field operations, project financials, schedules, procurement, and client expectations.

What You'll Be Responsible For

- Leading or supporting complex HVAC and mechanical construction projects
- Managing project budgets, forecasting, job costing, and cost-to-complete reporting
- Supporting equipment buyout and procurement activities
- Managing RFIs, submittals, change orders, and contract administration
- Coordinating with superintendents, foremen, subcontractors, and field teams
- Driving schedule execution and mitigating project risk
- Building strong relationships across operations, field leadership, and customers
- Supporting multiple active projects simultaneously in a fast-paced construction environment

Backgrounds We Love

Experience working directly for HVAC or mechanical subcontractors. The strongest candidates understand contractor-side execution, field operations, labor coordination, procurement, change orders, and project profitability.

Preferred Project Experience

Experience supporting or managing any of the following is highly attractive:

- Chilled water systems
- Chiller plants
- Central utility plants (CUP)
- Central plants
- District energy systems
- Hospital utility infrastructure
- Airport mechanical systems
- Mission-critical HVAC infrastructure
- Large mechanical retrofit and modernization projects

Direct CUP experience is preferred but not required if you've owned comparable mechanical infrastructure work.

Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Cypress, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $180000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
