- Develop, maintain, and validate Blue Light inspection programs using ZEISS INSPECT 3D software.
- Create, update, and maintain work instructions, process methods, and documentation for 3D scanning and inspection operations.
- Train operators on 3D scanning equipment, inspection processes, and best practices to ensure consistent, high-quality results.
- Support Manufacturing Engineering with the implementation of new processes, process changes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Drive process improvements focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost by collaborating closely with engineering, quality, and operations teams.
- Interpret engineering drawings, model-based definitions, and GD&T requirements to ensure accurate dimensional inspection and compliance.
- Analyze inspection results, generate clear, detailed reports, and communicate findings to technical and production stakeholders.
- Apply point-cloud processing, mesh generation, inspection alignment strategies, and scan data cleanup techniques to improve inspection accuracy and efficiency.
- Support or participate in the integration of robotic or automated inspection cells for 3D scanning applications.
- Work with solid models, including NX versions such as NX 1965, NX 2206, or NX 2412, to support inspection planning and analysis.
- Utilize CMM programming tools such as PC-DMIS to complement 3D scanning and inspection activities.
- Leverage scripting or programming tools such as VBA or Python to automate inspection workflows and data analysis where applicable.
- Maintain organized documentation and records of inspection programs, results, and process changes to support traceability and continuous improvement.
