About this role

The main purpose of this position is to provide end-to-end administrative and coordination support to the Research, Policy and Strategy Division (RPSD) in the Currency Management Department. This includes maintaining databases, managing correspondence, exercising document control and providing general office administration support.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:

- Maintain and regularly update a centralised database of industry stakeholders, including contact details, institutional affiliations and engagement history.
- Provide travel support for the division, including travel bookings, approvals, itineraries and reconciliation in line with the SARB travel policies.
- Support budget administration processes for the RPSD, including preparing inputs for budget submissions, monitoring expenditure, tracking spending commitments and working closely with the Management Support Division on budgeting processes.
- Provide administrative support in the processing and payment of invoices in line with the SARB policies.
- Support records and document management in compliance with internal policies and standards.
- Prepare meeting packs, take accurate minutes and track actions.
- Proactively manage internal and external stakeholder relationships through professional communication and service-oriented administrative support.

To be considered for this position, candidates must have:

- a minimum of a higher education certificate (NQF level 5) in either Business Administration or Office Management or an equivalent qualification;
- at least two to three years’ experience in an administrative or office support or Personal Assistant role, preferably within a policy, regulatory, research or public sector environment; and
- demonstrable experience in meeting coordination, minute-taking, travel arrangements and general office administration.
