Join the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Field Sustainment Team as an F-16 Avionics/Aircraft Systems Engineer Staff at our Hill Air Force Base facility. This position supports/interfaces with the F-16 System Program Office (SPO), the Automatic Test Systems Program at Robins AFB in Warner Robbins, and the Enhanced Diagnostics Aid EDNA Viper Memory Loader Verifier (Viper MLV) Engineering support to the United States Air Force (USAF) F-16 communities by Troubleshooting and integrating new software on the EDNA/Viper support equipment. The EDNA and Viper MLV have approximately 422 units fielded worldwide. You would be tasked to support the EDNA/Viper MLV software deficiencies and provide end-user customer support. The services rendered will provide the coordination of corrections/updates to EDNA/Viper MLV anomalies, customer support, research deficiency reports, incorporate enhancements, MBFI integration, and support the F-16 airframe/avionics modifications.
What You Will Be Doing
• Act as the central point of contact for Systems Engineering issues concerning the EDNA/Viper MLV including providing F-16 Avionics Troubleshooting on the F-16 aircraft system communications buses and utilize F-16 wiring diagrams and schematics for these resolutions.
• Provide Engineering support for tasks, upgrades, cost estimates, software deficiency investigation and resolution incorporation.
• Provide technical Portable Maintenance Aid (PMA) integration support.
• Provide Engineering support to AFLCMC/ROA-ATS Robins AFB in Warner Robins, LM Aeronautics, and BAE Systems.
• Provide EDNA/Viper Field Engineering Support to the Worldwide EDNA/Viper User Community and MAJCOMs, as required
• Provide EDNA/Viper Field Engineering Support to the Worldwide EDNA/Viper User Community and Major Command(s) MAJCOMs.
• Travel requirements will be to provide Engineering support to domestic/international field users as requested.
• Conduct investigations and data reviews utilizing Lockheed specific database and Web resources including FIN and the LM F-16 Engineering Library. Specific LM access provides critical data sources which are requirements during development and investigations for existing and new programs and drawings. Also required during the program review/resolution for Field Service Reports (FSR), discrepancy reports, and drawing/schematic reviews/updates.
• Required to collaborate with external personnel such as US Air Force/ Robins AFB, customer groups including but not limited to program management, software/mechanical engineering, internal engineering, depot-level maintenance, flight test, flight safety, cyber security representatives, and F-16 configuration management members.
• This position will require the selected applicant to relocate to the Hill AFB Utah area to support the F-16 SPO In-Person.
• This position requires active Final Secret Security Clearance. Must be a US Citizen.

Basic Qualifications
The following Basic Qualifications are skills that a candidate must possess to be considered for this position:
• Completed a 4-year degree in the Electrical Engineering (EE) or Electrical Engineering Technical (EET) Degree Fields or equivalent 10 years’ experience as a Military Aircraft Systems Engineer.
• Working knowledge and understanding of Military Aircraft Avionic Systems.
• Experience using Wiring Diagrams and Schematics to troubleshoot Military Aircraft Avionics Systems.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and be a self-motivator.
• Experience with customer interaction and communication as an Engineer.
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications.
Desired Skills
The following Desired Skills are not required but are those skills that would set a candidate apart from the other candidates:
• Worked as a Senior Project Systems Engineer leading the F-16 EDNA/Viper sustainment effort.
• Experience working with BAE to assist in the software development for the F-16 EDNA/Viper
• Understanding and knowledge of the US Government Cyber Security Policies and F-16 Configuration Management policies with experience integrating/managing these policies on the EDNA/Viper equipment.
• Extensive F-16 Avionics Troubleshooting and Fault Resolution experience.
• Experience as a Systems Engineer with time spent working on Software Communications Architecture.
• Extensive Knowledge in the theory of operation of F-16 Avionics including Aircraft Communication Buss integration.
• Experience with the US government Portable Maintenance Aid PMA Certification Process.
• Knowledge and Experience with the Interface Control Documents (ICD) process.
• Familiar with and Coordination with the F-16 EDNA/Viper Automatic Test Systems (ATS) Program Management Team and Engineers at Robins AFB in Warner Robins.
• Experience monitoring and researching F-16 EDNA/Viper deficiency reports on the Lockheed Martin Field Information Network (FIN).
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $104900.00 - $194700.00
