Construction Superintendent
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee all on-site operations for commercial, healthcare, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, and clean room construction projects. This individual will serve as the field leader responsible for driving project schedules, managing subcontractors, maintaining safety and quality standards, and ensuring successful project delivery from preconstruction through closeout. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who can effectively coordinate multiple stakeholders, solve problems in real time, and keep projects moving forward while maintaining exceptional client relationships.
What You'll Do
- Lead all field operations from project kickoff through final completion and turnover.
- Manage day-to-day site activities, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and according to plans and specifications.
- Develop, maintain, and drive project schedules while coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Conduct daily site planning meetings and proactively resolve field challenges before they impact project timelines.
- Oversee quality control processes, site inspections, and punch list completion.
- Enforce OSHA standards, company safety policies, and site-specific safety requirements.
- Lead toolbox talks, safety meetings, and site compliance initiatives.
- Review and coordinate RFIs, submittals, change orders, and field documentation.
- Monitor project budgets and support cost control efforts alongside project management teams.
- Maintain accurate daily reports, progress updates, and project records.
- Act as the primary field contact for clients, project managers, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Coordinate ground-up construction, renovations, tenant improvements, office fit-outs, and highly technical clean room environments.
- Ensure successful project closeout, turnover, and client satisfaction.
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent on commercial projects.
- Proven experience leading clean room, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, healthcare, manufacturing, or mission-critical projects.
- Strong knowledge of commercial construction means, methods, sequencing, and best practices.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documents.
- Experience managing subcontractors, field teams, and multiple trades simultaneously.
- Hands-on experience with change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
- Strong scheduling skills with the ability to drive critical project milestones.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
- OSHA 30 certification required.
- Experience with Procore, MS Project, and construction management software.
Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Wilton, CT.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $160000.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
