The Senior Business Analyst is an experienced professional within Lennar's Cybersecurity and Compliance organization, responsible for leading complex security, risk, and compliance initiatives, mentoring junior analysts, and acting as the liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams.
This role owns requirements definition, process design, and program reporting for high-visibility initiatives across the security portfolio, including audit and regulatory readiness, resilience planning, and program governance. The Senior Business Analyst works independently, shapes approach, influences stakeholders at all levels, and drives outcomes with limited direction.
Role Overview
- Advanced-level individual contributor within Cybersecurity and Compliance.
- Leads complex, cross-functional security and compliance initiatives end to end.
- Mentors junior analysts and sets the standard for analysis and documentation quality.
Your Responsibilities on the Team
- Lead the analysis of complex security, risk, and compliance problems and opportunities across Lennar's Cybersecurity and Compliance programs, including Cyber Defense, Cybersecurity/GRC, and Privacy, and frame options and recommendations for leadership.
- Develop comprehensive business and technical requirements, specifications, and process designs for security programs and platforms.
- Lead the design, testing, and implementation of new processes, systems, and enhancements supporting the security portfolio.
- Design and implement business process improvements that reduce manual effort and improve control effectiveness.
- Own program reporting by defining KPIs and metrics, building executive-ready dashboards, and presenting status and trends to senior leadership.
- Analyze multi-domain performance and reporting data across Cybersecurity and Compliance programs to support process improvement.
- Support the identification and assessment of security and compliance risks surfacing across the organization's programs and processes.
- Lead documentation and governance for resilience initiatives, including disaster recovery and business continuity plan templates, test plans, and audit evidence artifacts.
- Conduct user acceptance testing and provide training and enablement to end users and process owners.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project and program documentation, standards, and standard operating procedures.
- Construct workflow charts and diagrams for security and compliance processes, studying system capabilities and writing specifications.
- Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing security and compliance information and trends for management review.
- Conduct insightful, ad hoc analysis to investigate ongoing or one-time security and compliance operational issues.
- Coordinate and facilitate meetings and working sessions with stakeholders at all levels, including Cyber Defense, Cybersecurity/GRC, and Privacy leadership, and drive decisions and deliverables to closure.
- Mentor and guide junior analysts, review their work products, and build analytical and documentation capability across the team.
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and comply with all data protection and privacy regulations, security policies, and Lennar standards.
Your Toolbox
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Business Administration, or a related field preferred, with a Master's degree beneficial; High School diploma or GED required.
- A minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in business analysis, IT governance, risk, or compliance, or a comparable role, including experience supporting a security, compliance, risk, or technology organization.
- Extensive knowledge of business processes, project management practices, and enterprise technology systems.
- Solid understanding of security and compliance frameworks and regulatory obligations such as NIST CSF, NIST SP 800-53, CIS Controls, ISO 27001, SOC, SOX, PCI DSS, FFIEC, and applicable privacy laws.
- Expertise in business analysis methodologies and tools, including requirements management, process mapping, and traceability.
- GitHub Enterprise and GitHub Projects; fluency using an AI assistant for delivery analysis and reporting.
- Proficiency with advanced data analysis and reporting tools such as Power BI, and comfort working with SQL, Python or comparable query and scripting tools.
- Experience with ServiceNow or a comparable ITSM, workflow, or GRC platform.
- Experience leading work within Agile and Scrum environments across the full software development life cycle.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and SharePoint; familiarity with Lucidchart or a comparable diagramming tool.
- Industry certification such as Security+, CySA+, CISSP, CISA, CRISC, CBAP, or PMP is a plus.
