Design Manager

Purpose

Leads the implementation of design management systems, ensuring compliance with business, statutory, contractual and legal requirements. Drives continuous improvement and client value, while overseeing all phases of design management and coordinating closely with construction, commercial, programme and procurement teams.

You’ll be responsible for:

- Delivers assigned business plan objectives, ensuring outcomes are achieved to programme, budget and quality requirements.
- Leads and supports design management resources across projects, driving coordinated and consistent delivery.
- Ensures stakeholder requirements, governance standards and management systems are embedded throughout the project lifecycle.
- Analyses and presents performance data, KPIs and management review outputs to stakeholders.
- Builds effective stakeholder relationships and promotes collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
- Supports business development activities and leverages organizational knowledge to drive continuous improvement.

You’ll need to have:

- Degree qualified in a design-related discipline or equivalent.
- Good understanding of construction, consultancy and relevant regulatory frameworks.
- Experience applying design management, risk management and mitigation principles.
- Strong knowledge of prefabrication strategies across multiple sectors and building types.
